Our language courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for languages, recognizing three competence levels (A, B, C), each subdivided into two, for a total of six levels. We teach one level per year. Each class uses a textbook in addition to instructor selections. Conversation will become gradually more complex, and grammar will progress logically. Sessions consist of one 90-minute class per week for six weeks.
Based on student feedback, instructors have chosen new textbooks. For your convenience, some students will continue to the end of their Arrivederci textbook before switching. All books offer on-line access. Be alert when ordering: Via del Corso for English Speakers A, contains all the material in Via del Corso A1 and A2, but no workbook. Likewise for B version, and the Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano series.

| Beginner A2 (2.1) Zoom with Dr. Viviana Ardesia Mondays 2:30-4:00 pm, beginning October 27th. Students will expand upon previous listening, reading writing and speaking skills. Work on understanding and using familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of specific needs. Learn to ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has. Intermediate Conversation B1 in person with Dr. Grace Mannino Thursday 4:30-6:00 pm beginning October 30th at Community School of Naples 13275 Livingston Road, Naples, Room O-11.Aimed at improving vocabulary and conversational skills, all conversation will be in Italian. Homework and discussions will deal with Italian culture, current events, idioms and proverbs in a variety of activities that involve each student. Advanced C1 (1.1) in person with Dr. Grace Mannino Wednesdays 4:30-6:00 begins Oct 29,at Community School of Naples 13275 Livingston Road, Naples, Room O-11.Description: Continue to build on your conversation and grammar skills. Your B2 foundation provided an understanding of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, allowing you to interact with native speakers with fluency and spontaneity, and produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects. The C1 level builds on this, aiming for greater fluency, accuracy, and sophistication. C1 students will understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning. They can express themselves fluently and spontaneously, and use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes.
